Anyway - had a run up to Toowoomba in it today, nice to cruise in, pulled 5th gear on cruise control at 90kmph, all the way up the range - so I'm rapt with the torque
Great Van man, great thing is you make this into a mad thing with great torque and its a workhorse!!!. Then when you chose its a family offroader.

Mate, I'd like to have V6 tdi in may T5, but market dictates what is going in the production and unless VW marketing department is sure that enough customers would buy van with hi-performance engine it's not going to happen.

I do. Neither will fit. At least not where the engine sits now.
My thought re the V10 in the DOKA was to fit the engine in the middle of the chassis behind the cab (possibly partially tucked under the rear seat depending on chassis balance). Problem with that is that is the front transaxle setup of the V10. So I can't quite figure out how AWD would be managed......but you could easily sort RWD....but then 750nM through the rear wheels only in a front heavy vehicle could be a little....frightening.
