Ben - updated my post from "joint" to "place"
got a few quotes today and settled on a guy who has done some work for me before - $450 to remove the std downpipe and precat, replace it with a custom 2.5" downpipe, and fit a 200cell cat.

He is going to move the sensors for me. but if it throws up a code, John has advised that he can map it out for me no probs

Greg, some magnetic TOW and battery applications would be much better! Now, where the F is the tow point at the front of the 9N?!

and yes, i would be interested in seeing how your extinguisher is fitted. currently the only idea i have is to bolt a frame behind the back seats, cover it with carpet when not in use, and attach the extinguisher to it when i go onto the track. To make it accessible, i just need to fold the seat down, and it will be directly behind me and within reach to keep the scruitineerers happy

forgot to add... i reached eighty thousand and eighty five kms... or should i say... BOOBS!

Looks like it's time for another Melb Polo meet!

We can go over the subwoofer thing, too, hazrd. vwthunder can show you his sub/amp arrangement too.

And there's a phillips head screw that you need to remove 1st (I didn't notice it at 1st and was wondering WTF was holding it on).Originally posted by vwthunder View PostIt is on the drivers side, behing the Fog light grillResident grumpy old fart

Today I had a 'major' service done (spark plugs, fluids, filters etc.).
It actually feels perkier now which is nice. To celebrate I took it for a spirited dash through The Nutfield twisties
Will possibly fit my DP this week.

Had another new Advan A048R fitted this morning to replace the killed one.
Top guys at Traction Tyres in Rowville, VIC (Tyres & More) - I highly recommend them if you need Yokohamas

You GTi guys need to get out on the Island - you can really let them get wound right out down the straight and up the back (poor little Pod was really struggling to make headway on these parts)Resident grumpy old fart
