Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    • That'll be a while off, yet.

They're gonna require some restoration work before they go anywhere near my car.

              • This past weekend I took half of Sooty's front end off and cleaning everywhere I could get to. I also removed the screw in the front arch liners, bent the tab back and cut away the small section of liner that's been rubbing on bumps ever since I installed the coilovers, LOL. Two years ago.

Last night, I also did the SMIC Vent Mod - cut a section of the arch liner away behind the SMIC and fitted an aluminium mesh, which I primed and painted black. Secured it with 4x bolts, nuts and washers.

I put put the OEM 16's (San Marino's) back on for the racing this weekend - we've started up an old series called the Streetclass Series, which we started about 3yrs ago and it's stopped after a year. It's Round 1 this weekend, and as much as I was looking forward to taking on my PB, it's going to be pouring with rain and winds of around 56km/h.

Today my PD160 & BMC filter arrive, so I'll fit those later.

Looks awesome, but I think ill go back to the blue LED for the numberplates.
