      • That has got to be the longest number plate ever. That's crazy.

        • Just fitted the SEAT intake and drove to work. The little goer definetely has a bit more go higher up in the rev range. Seems to be less drop off at 5k5 than there was before.

Bloody tight fit and I dropped the f'n screw, had a suitable replacement though. On my old car the screw would've just fallen straight through none of this skid pan crap

My car decided it didn't like the skid plate and tried to discard it. LOL

Sean it wasn't chipped in the end as I thought, so i took it to Seb!

I prefer the symmetry of the 9N2 lights, the single reverse/hi-intensity light setup really doesn't appeal to me.

                          • Finished my test of maximising fuel effeciency.

It was hard to resist temptation, but I made it. One full tank, shifting every gear at 2000rpm. 7.7L/100 and reached 423Km before the fuel light came on.

Pretty impressive and I can only assume it will get better as the engine is still a baby, only just on 3000Ks.

Generally with the last few tanks, I've only made it to 340-370Km before the light would come on.

                            • For me shifting around 2500rpm has been most efficient fuel wise. Rev it up slowly to 2500rpm each shift, and it sips minimal amount....

keeping it at 2000rpm for my car seems to use boost more to go up hills etc, if you have a boost gauge, it's easier to get better fuel economy.

I try not to go past 0psi (it's normally -20 or something).

That's only when I am low on fuel tho!
                              06 Polo GTI - REVO Stage 2 = 140kw @ wheels.
06 Golf GTI - Bluefin Stage 1 blacked out with ED30 theme, leather, xenon, etc.

Wow. OK. Well, I don't have a boost gauge, but what your telling me, if I change at 2500rpm it boosts less? I figured, if I changed at 2000rpm or sometimes even 1800rpm, I wouldn't engage the turbo at all and would use less fuel.

It's my first turbo car and I'm starting to think from not only what you've said but from what I've read elsewhere, they need to be driven differently than a NA engine.
