Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • It should take about two weeks assuming the machining is all done.
I've been following the Vwvortex thread.
I'm using the Frankenturbo tubular manifold as it was part of the F23 kit.
The Relentless v3 manifold seems pretty good. I probably would have bought that
if I had had a choice. Only risk is cracking with the long runners.

Sounds like a new King is about to be crowned in the Polo Performance thread

Would you mind asking Seb to take note of what size ring gear your polo needed for the Wavetrac?

          Cheers and congrats!

42 degrees, 120k's, 6.1L. No aircon, but I was surprised the fuel economy stayed low.

Sounds great - where are you getting the cage made?

I haven't had much luck finding someone locally (in the ACT) so looks like an interstate company might be the go - very keen to hear how you go.

Australias leading rollcage manufacturer - FABRaiCATIONS

They will do anything i want, within reason of course

Had a design in my head, didn't want it too complicated, i would like it to be able to come out of the car if needed, so its going to be a bolt in

                                Awesome - thanks for that!

Please let me know how it turns out once it's finished, and if you don't mind sharing details of the cost involved that would be great too.
