Don't tempt me.Originally posted by Servo View PostNow that you've done that, stage 2?
I was looking into a bigger turbo, a Ko4 or hybrid but I don't think I will go down that path. I thought that if I could get a turbo cheap, it would be good, but I'm pretty keen to go CC for the next tune, so by the time I get injectors, fuel reg, pump, exhaust manifold, etc, it adds up. My car is a lot of fun now so I cant justify the cost (for now)...
I'm considering CC stage 2 as I already have everything (or pretty much everything) to get the most out of this tune. APR V2 is working well with the FMIC and TIP, so I'm not in a rush...
Just come back from a trial run of the TIP and Throttle Body hose, I'll write something up in one of the TIP sections today, in summary I am happy with the changes, but don't think it would offer much benefit if some of the other intake / exhaust restrictions are not dealt with.

I just had the APR ecu mod done by the nice guys in Brisbane. I also had the APR engine mount fitted too. I am really afraid I am going to get a speeding fine! It is amazing how much it has changed the car. A very cheap ungrade for such a huge jump in performance. Well worth doing if you are pondering the thought. I did change my insurer though just to be on the safe side with Just Car. Swann would not cover me who I was with before hand.Polo GTi Hatch

Welcome to the dark side...Originally posted by barra240t View PostI just had the APR ecu mod done by the nice guys in Brisbane.
If you have the V2, you will likely be very aware of the torque lump that comes on somewhere near 3000rpm. the Seat 160 intake is a good supporting mod to help your new found power by letting the car breathe a little more easily. Pod setup is a good alternative (cheaper, similar results from what I've read). The intake hose is expensive for what it is, but having to import anything from the UK is expensive...
Enjoy!

welcome to the fun, now youll find that you may have caught the affliction that has the obvious side effect of having a compelling need to get in the car more and more often. hell even if im just going to the corner store (500m away) i still wanna drive mineOriginally posted by barra240t View PostI just had the APR ecu mod done by the nice guys in Brisbane. Hmm, I am unsure about it being V2? But yes, it gets a little crazy after 3000rpm! Would it has been better to have then intake fitted before the tune but?Originally posted by noone View PostWelcome to the dark side...

The Pog's computer is able to learn on the fly.
I personally like to turn the flash back to stock, then back to the APR tune when I have done new mods. Also disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes will help the car unlearn a little info.
There are 2 versions of the APR stage 1, V1 is more linear with more power higher in the revs where as the V2 has the power coming on earlier.
I think GTIDave was bringing in the Seat intake for someone soon if you wanted to PM him, alternately dubbadiction lists the part on his website.
