And?? How was it? Interesting that it has virtually the same power figures as a chipped polo , although the torque is way down on the chipped polo. It would be a very interesting comparison. I might just have to go do the same me thinks..

              • i saw a gti mk6 parked near my place the other day. the difference between that and the stock mk6 golf, is much much subtler than the mk5 vs gti.

unfortunately, the way things are going, huge huge wheels and wheel arches make for big big wheel arch to tyre gaps.......

soon audi a3's will have 22 inch steelies, what with their stupid looking huge wheel arches...

                • Finally got round to installing my Rear Sway Bar and Superpro Engine Mount over the weekend. Total of 2-3hrs to do both. Now I just need to find a Front Strut Brace, and take the car out for a good run to feel the full effects of the new mods.

Anyone else who has changed the engine mount, have you found that the old one was on its last legs?

Yeah I got the APR engine mount insert done on my car. It's a late 2006 model and the bloke who changed it over showed me the original one, it was stuffed... split everywhere.

                    • Got some new tyres. Yokohama ADrive R1 in the same size as the stock CSC2.

Got 51K kms out of the stock tyres so pretty happy with that. I was after another set of contis but had some trouble tracking them down (and didn't have the time to wait for some to be shipped from OS) so just settled for the Yokohamas.

I need to put a few more K's on them to really know they are still a bit waxey.

First impressions: they don't seem to have quite the grip my contis had. No probs spinning though first if I put my foot down after a taking off from the lights normally and not quite as confident around corners.

Hopefully a week or so should fix this, I'll report back then.
