Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Installed my new Seat air intake and gave it a good wash, amazed how clean it still comes up after 3 years..
The air intake seems to make it go a bit harder, but i'm still experiencing a bit of rollercoaster surge in 3rd gear.. not quite as much as before and haven't had a good chance to test it yet so see how we go. Cheers Shaneth for the write up in the DIY, so simple to install.. thanks mate.
Anywho she'll get a good country road test driving down to Margaret River tomorrow morning for my extended long weekendStage II Scirocco R

And the cheapest you can get for a BMC would be around 650...
The guy selling it wanted to use it on his 5L V8 but after testing it he said it was too small for his application. The thing was basically brand new, not a mark on it and the filter its self was spotless.
If you keep an eye out they do turn up everynow and then. But you also have to be patient.

Santa came early for my car today...
ECS Brembo slotted brake rotors, a couple of oil filters, high performance brake fluid, magnetic sump plug and a T Shirt.
Just waiting for EBC to deliver the right brake pads...There is a dislexic bloke in the EBC warehouse in Melbourne who got the part numbers around the wrong way and sent up pads for a Holden Vectra/SAAB 9-5...
Dislexics are Teople Poo..."If can't get behind your troops, feel free to stand in front of them..."
