Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Put my new rims on today.

There's about 2-3mm clearance between wheel and caliper hehe

    • I've added a Seat intake and KN filter.

Not sure if I can really tell any difference, but I like to think it sounds a tad throatier.

Was looking at a Whiteline rear bar thingy to stop some body roll, but am unsure now as there seem to be two distinct factions - 'yay!' and 'you're risking your life.' I'd kind of like to avoid being in a ditch.

      Cheers!

          • Ha, I was about to post that

            I'm guessing they're MKIV R32 wheels.

                • Nah not R32 rims. I had a few sets offered to me but it was going to work out to be too expensive to buy, paint and fit 215/35/18 rubber.

I'll try get a pic soon.

                  • It's now official. Flaps has more sets of rims than me. These are the 'winter ensemble', Sean?

GT3 - LOOKS GREAT! What springs have you got in your GTI currently?
