I've bought a fair bit of stuff from them before. In fact most of the body on my mk1 turbo 2 door was from them. Seats, fenders, bonnet, grill, tail lights, suspension, spoilers .... spent a lot of money there .....

They will be reluctant to deal with anyone long distance, somebodywill have to show up at their head office in Johannesburg and spend big......

Could be combined with a trip to visit relatives and friends I suppose ....

Anyway, too much to find out 1st before even booking a plane ticket....

ok quick question? why is everyone so fasinated with these wheels after the original owner said that he had problems with them and keep blowing out the side walls

i had problems with the 18 inchers - and thats mainly cos the roads here in SA are deteriorating so badly nowadays

i think though that the 17 inch versions will be a different item altogether - probably will have no problems with those mainly cos of the higher profile tyres that they will allow

cos those wheels are damn sexy thats why, and we are fascinated because they are a similar style to our standard GTI wheels, however are larger and a hell of a lot better looking with that finish. and as naughty said, he has only had problems with the 18's, it seems that most of the interest has been in the 17's, shouldn't be a problem there.

how can you be concerned with problems when you want to lower the "tits" out of your car (i have to admit that my GTI does not have tits, more balls than anything). slamming your car creates a lot of problems to the underside (scraping and banging), not to mention the sets of tyres you will have to go through with the negative camber needed to drive a dumped car.

p.s. a dumped car shouldn't be running of stock rims anyway... it just doesn't work.

well to be honest - a lot of people who are dubber's prefer either OEM or OEM+ - which means either original or alternative that seems like original - so that is part of being an enthusiast

i would say that the replica's seem pretty original for most VW models - which is why people like them - i loved the look - but sadly the experience didnt match my expectations - but im going to change my wheels once a year - so i may just land up getting those replica's in 17" again sometime soon

here we go guys... 17" GTI copies $1,199 from tempe tyres in sydney (exept stud pattern for these is 5x112....isn't ours 5x110). i should have looked on their website to start with. they have heaps of VW AUDI replica wheels to choose from.
