Another little update - wheels are on and I do have some night shots already - just finding the time to sit down and upload them!

Hail is slowly making it's way out as my PDR tools slowly arrive in dribs and drabs. No sign of the OEM Shark Fin yet, but fingers crossed that'll be here by DS - only a 2 minute install so that's good.

I've bought myself a Forge FMIC too and a blue motion lip and side skirts - these won't be done by DS, but shortly after so any Melbourne mini meets/cruises - I'll be there. I've also got my heart set on Weitec coils now - found a new set from Awesome GTI in the UK for $740 - I'm over there in a couple of months so will just pick them up and bring them back. They want another $180 for delivery though, so if I get impatient I might just do that - otherwise, bargain coils right there!

Pics up soon and when the FMIC and skirts etc arrive

Well after those mods - I only need little ones + tune so I'll be done for the year pretty much! Then I'll be working on another cup-ple of things for later in the year, cause I'm trying to spread things out so I don't do everything at once [COLOR="Silver"]

Not the best shot of the wheels, but it's an okay shot altogether

Here's my aesthetic mod that wasn't really to everyone's taste - now I have to figure out how to actually wire them! Any tips?

I know absolutely nothing about electrics and wiring, but after a bit of research apparently I need to connect the DRL's to my sidelight wire or something like that - so when I turn the sidelights on the DRL's come on and when I put my actual lights on they'll turn off - everything else is straight forward, I just don't know where the side light > ignition wire is :/

Front Mount is in and running without any fault codes, still got to finish off the bumper reassembly as I've only been working early mornings/late nights because it's been way too hot for a pom to be outside

The bad news is, the DRL's I posted up top are probably gonna have to come off already (I've only had them fitted a week and driven 50km's tops!) because the intercooler piping looks like it's going to be in the way. I'll confirm tonight, but if anyone's interested in a set of DRL's that look brand new - never wired up just fitted to the car for a week then get in touch with me. I'd be looking for $175 which is less than what I paid and you wouldn't have to wait for them to arrive from Europe.

Yeah made it home okay in the end - went back to the car park to find drunk bogans in a 6N2 that we'd seen parked nearby the day before - so maybe they wanted some BBS' for it! Tried to contact the car park security but gave up in the end - luckily nothing bad happened.

Can't believe you know the centrebore off the top of your head though - "You must be Dylan!" hahaha!

So lucky - with the car still having odd bits of hail it's un-insurable so it could've been a disaster!

I've been meaning to ask you - did my wheels make it to Aus as options? I've heard they were an early option on the MK4, but I've never seen any, seen similar but not splits like mine. I've heard they were an option in Japan so the odd import has had them...they're originally off the MK3 GTI 20th Anniversary in Europe and brought over in a suitcase

I believe they were sold as stock on the Jap Mk4 GTI's. Not many in Aus.

I might be selling the wheels! I've just bought another set of BBS Splits - this time 17x8's, barrels powder coated satin black, faces metallic silver and polished lips. All I can say is, you know you have issues when you're sat up at 2am buying your third set of BBS wheels!
