For spirited drives especially on road tyres you probably want your tyre pressures up around 40psi.

The descriptions of the KW's are accurate... Defiantly stiffer, but the ride feels much better controlled/damped with less crashes through the body.

I'm in china for 4 weeks so cant wait to get back home and do some more driving

Agree, I've got mine set to 38psi. You'll be getting understeer with those pressure settings.

Ben can you confirm who did your custom DP ? Also, what sort of money did it cost and did they do it in a day ? Thinking of going the custom route as I can't justify the $ on a name brand one.

40 up front 38 on the back. Corners better.

As for DP, I had mine done by Cast Hill Exhausts or something like that. It cost about $400, half a day. Have a look in the recommendations section, I picked them from there... A little more power and exhaust sounds throatier.

So after playing without sways for a while, I re-connected my front end (soft) and re-installed the rear (medium).

I stared a thread on Sways in the suspension section (here)

I assume having the sways off for a week helped the bushes / corners bed in properly and the matched sway settings provide more even movement, but when I drove my car this afternoon, it all came together beautifully. I dropped the PSI's to 38 / 36 for a little more compliance.

Sold my old Coilies to Kangfu for his mate, hope he likes them.

For the first time in a while I feel my car is complete. The suspension comfort was bothering me on slow traffic crawl and for some reason everything feels right now. I really cant put my finger on which piece it was, I hope it does not change.

                So time for some recognition:

This was the statement that made me reconsider selling the Polo (after I didn't find anything I wanted in my price range), so props to Break for helping me realize that fixing the few issues were going to help me love my toy again.

I still will be doing the short shifter, looking to colour code some bits and have a go at a new tune, considering new rubber, but otherwise for the time I am sated.

Installed an ECS N75 Race valve yesterday, have had it on for about 20k's. The boost comes on harder, most likely working against the smooth curve APR designed. I have not had a chance to get a feel for the high RPM changes, but the boost comes on a little quicker and seems to be there more on partial throttle as well. Think I may have even saved a little fuel which is not something I normally care too much about. The on boost noise is different, seems to be louder at lower RPM.

I once played with the J-version, I thought the J felt slower coming on boost but with a higher peak, this valve seems more suited to my midrange RPM driving.

I'll see how it feels after a week, that seems to be the real test with these sort of changes (as the adaptive tuning could decide to alter how the boost is requested).

I bought 2 if anyone wants the second one (cheap at $100, still in the packet, they normally cost that much before the $40 shipping).

Yeh i have both the J and the Race and prefer the Race version better. It can be a bit touchy if driving in bad start stop traffic in lower gears, low RPMs but when you open it up some it makes a noticeable difference.

So is the Race version a low-mid strong boost with it coming off at the peak and J version is mid-top end boost? I totally forgot about this mod.

Install: remove 3 clips, install 3 hose clamps 2 provided with ecs unit). Should take 10 min, can take a photo or try googling n75 valve and look at pics.

Result: the n75 has diverse results. Some cars run better, some worse... My car was fine, felt slower with the J version, feels faster with the Race. Honestly, it's a matter of having a try, you may love it, you may sell it on...

My fuel consumption has improved, was not expecting that. Now wondering if my old diverter was not working 100%

                              What were you getting before/now?

I get about 8L/100 on average including some spirited weekend driving amongst my daily commute to work. That is with the race valve, forgot what i got with the J.
