To be honest, I don't think the mods are the problem... it's the price.

$20k is pretty rich for ANY 9N3, regardless of age/condition/mods etc. The market just isn't there for $20k on one at the moment, mostly due to the release of the new GTI bringing down prices (even if they are rare thanks to HUGE wait times).

Move a little on price and I think you'll get some more interest. Even just dipping down into the $19k zone somewhere should drum up a bit more interest.

        Good point.

Have not listed it on any of the sale websites yet, guess I had hoped to stirr some interest on here through enthusiasts.

I'd love to see the Polo stay with a Watercooled boy (or girl, but there are few of them).

I'd probably buy the Forge FMIC for $500. stupid TDI and having to make up new pipes

Shame to see your intention to leave Team Polo
My suggestion on your next car would be a Turbo MX5 SE (120kW) or SP (150kW) if you can live with the inconvenience of 2 seats and a tiny boot.

I'd be interested in the strut brace and rear sway bar if you do go down the part-out path.

            Best of luck.

I don't think it would bolt straight up to the TDI piping as it does for the GTI.

I don't fit in the MX-5 B, still to look at the C shape.

The more I look, the more a see how good my current car is compared to what I can have for similar $$$.

Yep which is why I said, I would do it for $500 only, would have to modify part of the piping for it to work

Only real worth for me woudl be the cooler and the crash bar.

With the amount of stuff you've done to your car to personalize it for your tastes, I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head with that statement.

So, I guess the better question is why do you want to sell it? What about it isn't making you happy, and what options do you have to address those concerns on your 9N3?

Keep the car Ben, you want something fun to drive, with all the time, money and thought you've put into the Pogo I reckon hold onto it and enjoy it. I can't see anything you've mentioned - in the other thread - being as enjoyable, especially given the work you've done.

Yeah... I kind of know all this.. There is not much else around that is the bang-for-buck IMO. of course that's why I got it in the first place.

The main reason to get something else is that I learned so much about cars through owning my Polo, I want that over again but in a different way. I like the idea of RWD for the different handling style.

Someone come drive it for me and remind me how good it really is...

I completely understand your thoughts... and enjoying different types of cars has been the driving force behind me changing so much (in the last 5 years I've gone through a MY05 WRX WRP10, Mx5 10AE, Polo GTI and now a Clio 172).

I can easily say there were things I loved and hated about each car, and if I had the means I would buy all my old cars back and have them all in my garage.

The grass may seem greener, but there will be things you love/hate about any other car you move to. I love the fact I've been lucky to own so many different cars, and the only downside I've found is the cost involved in changing cars so often.

Ok, so I will be considering parting out my Polo.

                            Here is a list of the major bits that I will part out if it works in my favor;
                            Forge FMIC kit
Stock Shocks, Fronts probably not so great.
Enkei's (best to trade back to stock wheels or downgrade, so in trade would be best). 45 offset, so recommend spacers.
Unpainted Eyelids (I bought 2 sets)
                            Rear sway bar - adjustable.
                            Forge splitter
                            Throttle body hose - red
Possibly Tip, bastard to remove tho...
                            Seat intake
                            Panel filter
                            Strut brace
Maybe front sway if I can get it out without too much hastle...
312mm brake setup, works very well, can rattle over large potholes - your stock brakes required.

PM me your interest in parts, dont bother low-balling, it won't be parted if I can't get a good return on it.

Think you missed the point, I wanted to swap with cash my way (wasn't a free upgrade).

Anyways, car is no longer for sale due to financial issues (not sold).

Sorry to those wanting bits and the few wanting to inspect the car.
