Holy bloody hell!
That is brutal.
Hopefully you can recover from it and get the Polo back on track.
Keep us updated.

Certainly brutal, ouch, bet it made quite a noise too.
so is that a power/torque related failure, or from driving style/abuse? Basically, are others likely to have that happen on a track day if running conservative power?Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI

I took it for a ride Thursday morning and the gear fail in the first push…
I really didn’t expect it. I will repair the damage with stock parts… I will need time to do a primary shaft with the gears incorporated… I will try to make it 6 speed.

Thats a let go alright!!! hope it gets well soon. Im used to seeing the diff pins cracking the bellhousing, havent seen the outer casing suffer a crunch like that. Your thinkin 6sp, see if you can get your hands on a 02M. i think one of the Uk fellas has done one with plenty mount mods.

What’s up gang!
Well how everybody knows, the car is rolling again but with the stock gearbox... what I didn’t told is that I finally installed the new APR Stage3+ software.
I also installed new Bosch gen4 50lb/h injectors.
In a few words the car changed a lot…. Principally at the N/A fase and when it still cold. I felt the power much more balanced too.
Today I went to the dyno and tested 3 alternatives of camshaft timing.
Here are the results, all made in fourth gear.
Retarded 4 degrees
Stock
Advanced 3 degrees
Well.. the dyno results show me that the stock timing was the best. There the engine delivers more power and torque. But everybody knows… no dyno replace a track!
I was specting better results with advanced timing, especially in torque.
In the STOCK graphics you can see 300whp and 35kgf.m of torque. It is around 340bhp.
The car is strong, today I broke something in the right axel.

I'm BACK!
I was a little frustrated with the lack of track days, but there is a light in the end of the tunnel.
Here are some other upgrades I'm performing in the car.
How I told you before, I remove the SAI PUMP, N75, N112 and N149 and in their places I installed resistors.
I started an experience some weeks ago. I bought a pair of rear spindles and machine then removing 0,7mm diagonally.
The idea is remove convergence from the rear wheels to make the car corner better.
I installed the parts today, I didn’t pulled any g’s doing slaloms yet, but I notice in a few corners the ESP more active!

I understand the logic of removing the N112 and N149, but I'm unclear how the wastegate works with the N75 removed. Can you post a picture showing the new layout of your vacuum lines?
Thanks
