I can’t handle those freaking Subarus! I drove one today, it has coil-overs, semi slicks, a very nice gearbox and almost 300hp. What a car, now I understand why everyone loves those freaking spaceships.
And my lovely VW let the bolts from the exhaust manifold get loose from the turbo! Just today! Track day! I’m half mad! Just because I ran over a 500hp Eclipse!
You sure do love your hybrid turbos Do you mean you hit the Eclipse???

      • New shocks for the rear...
These shocks are from VW Corrado... I had to tune it a little to make it fit..
Thru the pictures it is possible to see the Konis have a shorter stroke, at least 20mm.

Lets see on the track if it worth it.

          • Here we go!

The car lost the peak torque, however it gain more torque after 5000rpm.

The last graphic is a comparison between torques, I plotted the new torque curve over the old one.

We should remember the boost is falling after 5000rpm.

            • Are you happy with the feel of the car now?

              • Almost...

I'm happy with the gain of power after 4500rpm, it is helping, but it is not enough, I'm going to test as soon as possible a more aggressive APR software.

I'm using the 95oct software, I'm going to try the 98oct and the 100oct. I will see what can happen. They have a tool called V-tune, it is capable to make adjustments over the software.

                • This Saturday I tried the APR 98oct and 104oct software.

I had to choose the 98oct because with the 104oct the lambda meter was showing the AFR trying to be stoichiometric and not rich how it should be at full throttle.

So, now I have 290HP at the engine and 270HP at the wheels and 41kgm of torque.

                  95oct

                  98oct

                  104oct

                      • Short Shifter!!

I could reduce 33% in the longitudinal stroke and 15% in the transversal stroke.

                        The shifts are very close!

This is the stock shift. I just open new holes on it.

                                The pin is riveted.

My first thought was to weld the pins, I remove them breaking the rivet head and I notice that they could be riveted again. In the pictures you can see my employee hammering the rivet.

But weld still is a possibility. Probably it will work fine.
