I chose the RS model because the compressor housing has a better flow, but I was afraid of it also, I thought it was not going to fit between the engine and the fire wall.Originally posted by JCM308 View PostLet us know how this goes. I have a GT28R that I've been considering on the Pog but still not sure. I might consider a GT2560R for faster spooling (still a 330HP turbo).
I have a friend here in Brazil with a gt2560 in his Golf developing 300hp. It is not that impressive.
Go for the gt28, if possible try to use the compressor housing from the RS, it is the only difference between them.

Interesting. I would have thought that because the turbo would spool up that bit quicker then it would have been a little more exhillerating in low to mid range power.Originally posted by Plautos View PostI chose the RS model because the compressor housing has a better flow, but I was afraid of it also, I thought it was not going to fit between the engine and the fire wall.

Also remember the Polo weighs a bit less than the Golfs
I'm not too sure which way I'll go yet. The advantage to the GT28R is that I already own one but it needs a rebuild (which is nearly the same price as replacement).
Please post up your results when everything is fitted and tuned. Can't wait
