Plautos, I'd be interested to get your feedback on how you find having done just the rear and than adding the front. Was the front an obvious improvement, having done the rear, or to keep it balanced, etc.
I do understand how and why they work, just curious for your reasoning for doing both.

I'm developing a new actuator for the WG, something softer. I'm not going to use the N75 to control the turbo.Originally posted by VWindahouse View PostYeah Whiteline have done this a few times before and sent the wrong bolts with the sway bar. Send them an email mate and the should send you the correct ones!
BTW how is the new Garrett turbo coming along
In the next week I will start the manufacture of the exhaust manifold.

haha love it Plautos you have this monster of a track polo thats only just now getting swaybars.
Make me want to ship mine to Brazil so I can get you to make mine a carbon copy in black.

Thanks Joe, I'm thinking the N75J valve is probably a good investment.Originally posted by Joe Chu View PostWaste gate and diverter valve are two different things. The diverter operates off throttle the N75 is what controls the waste gate for on boost applications.
Is the Festo pressure regulator or something similar worth while for stock Turbo? Can anyone tell me what I'm looking for exactly? I've been poking around the Festo website, lots of products, not sure exactly what specs would suit. They do have a branch in Vic, but I really don't know if its worth my time with my basic mods...

Not sure of the relationship here here.

Is when I installed an industrial Festo’s air flow controller. The results were impressive. The boost stay fixed, I could completely block the air to the N75 valve and the turbo still loose boost at hi rpm’s, keeping it safe, proving it is a soft WG actuator.

The stock shocks from the Polo GTI still intact.Originally posted by noone View PostPlautos,
I thought I remembered reading something about you modifying your shock absorbers, but cant seem to locate it.
Are you still on the stock shocks? Did you modify them?
I had modified a Polo 2.0 front shock, I remove the internals and inserted a Koni's shock.

Interesting. I would have thought that because the turbo would spool up that bit quicker then it would have been a little more exhillerating in low to mid range power.Originally posted by Plautos View PostI chose the RS model because the compressor housing has a better flow, but I was afraid of it also, I thought it was not going to fit between the engine and the fire wall.
I have a friend here in Brazil with a gt2560 in his Golf developing 300hp. It is not that impressive.
Go for the gt28, if possible try to use the compressor housing from the RS, it is the only difference between them.
Also remember the Polo weighs a bit less than the Golfs
I'm not too sure which way I'll go yet. The advantage to the GT28R is that I already own one but it needs a rebuild (which is nearly the same price as replacement).
Please post up your results when everything is fitted and tuned. Can't wait

I have a GT28R that I've been considering on the Pog but still not sure. I might consider a GT2560R for faster spooling (still a 330HP turbo).
