Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Not a stupid question. Many other intercoolers are available, some OEM intercoolers are quite good and easily available.

The cost of the intercooler is about 1/3 of the total price, most of the work and cost is in the connection piping. Personally, I'd like to go with a unit that has been tried / tested in this application, due to the small turbo we have, keeping the flow rate high is very important.

    • I'm thinking of getting this and doing all the piping myself.

I'll have it flipped the other way and ask PWR to print the PWR logo on the other side.

      • Forge have come back to me.

Based on over 5 takers and with the assistance of the strong Aussie Dollar, Forge units can be had less than the last group buy of 1100.

I'll PM all those who have expressed interest to date, if you are interested and dont get a message, please let me know that you are interested.

I will be aiming to keep out of this as much as possible and create a link between interested parties and someone at Forge as I don't want any profit or pain, just want to keep my power in Summer.
