As soon as I heard that last night my very first thought was.... ...FMIC!

as far as I've understood it's single income homes, students, pensioners etc. earning under $80K a year get the full $950. people earning over that to $90K is about $650 and then over $90K to $100K is $300. something along those lines anyway.

Apparently next month the payouts are given, followed by tax bonuses at the end of the financial year.

Those figures are correce. All the details are on the ATO website

Looks like Kevin07 is buying alot of people mods. The catch will be how many are from Aus (ie FMIC, APR Tune) and how many will boost up the european market

APR is a U.S. brand so the money will go to them. I'm pretty sure the FMIC's core sharkie gets is imported, but his guy just makes the piping etc. Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought thats how it was.

The way he should be doing it is a $950 rebate if you meet the eligibilty criteria and can prove that over 50% of the total purchase price was to buy either Australian Made goods or used Australian Labour to install...

That would go part of the way to ensuring the money stayed in the country to prop up lots of local business which would then promote innovation and manufacturing locally which would then thus create jobs... But what would I know I am an engineer not a politician

Edit - my solution may inflate labour rates on second thoughts... still good in principal

FMIC's are imported, but the fitting kits are locally made . Local labour is not cheap either .....

So far 3 kits confirmed. Need 2 more and then 2 more FMICs with or without kits.

i'll definitely be getting a full kit installed with your mate when i get the $950 gov payout (if it gets approved). that now is not meant to be happening until april so i might miss out on the good deal

It was never happening until April. Also, it's more like a $950 loan, you'll pay MORE than that back once the economy recovers.

ATO (tax bonus) is managing the 1 part .... ETA April, Centrelink (Kids etc)the other part ETA mid March.

FMIC's won't be here untill end Feb anyway if I order now, about 3-4 weeks before delivery. So realistically only available from mid March onwards.

Place your order (with deposit) and it should be here by the time the gov lends you the $950. We can arrange it to suit the gov's timeframe

And in reality it is just a loan $950, now in cash ..... many, many $$$$ over many years to pay it back.

Thank you KRUDD for ruining the economy in record time ..... $20b surplus to $170b deficit in no time at all ..... Somebody should ground his plane, he's wasting good taxpayer money on every jaunt he takes .....

It will take a proper government many years to fix this debacle now ....

Deposits only needed when I place the orders. Will liase with each individually at the time.

I have asked the FMIC supplier to seriously consider bringing in only 5 so we can get the moving and am awaiting an answer.

i only need one question answered before i get the go ahead from the minister of war and finance/ leader of the oposition (ie my partner).
since i dont have my car chipped will this fmic stuff with the ecu or anything else in this car?. if the answer is a definate no, then count me in. i live on the sunny coast but if its easyerr to just order a kit and get someone up here to install it (not sure who) so be it , what ever is easyer/ cheeper. thanks in advance.
