        • I agree Dave, this silly and now we have guys on here knocking the Golf GTI owners. What next, no, I dont wear a wig and I am not bald. Neither are any of my GTI customers. They are proper VW enthusiasts who dont care what others think or say. I guess we dont have a complex.

Relax, it's common for Polo GTI drivers to envy Golf GTI drivers - just look at how many of them spend thousands and then measure their success by comparing to big brother, and still not there

But we love our little sisters and will protect them against boguns when family loyalty is called upon

            • If i had the money. I would have bought a golf gti.

A polo is more of a girls car compared to the golf. Im a polo owner and i say that. No idea what you others are trying to back it up for.

Go outside and look at what you drive.

Hehe it sure has been fun bagging people on this thread. There's a lot on here that are very, VERY insecure.

Personally, i don't really care about what people think of what i drive and i don't really care about what anyone else does.

To be honest.. I'll take a Mk4 GTI. I don't care if they handle like crap and go like crap comparably.

                          Hahaha I've got a Caddy and a Mk1.

I used to have a 2.0l sport which was great, but i traded it on the Caddy!

                          • I think at the end of the day both the Golf and Polo are cool little cars with pretty Soft images, particularly in Australia with the whole if its not a Falcon or Commodore its not a mans car crap. No matter how fast we make our "Soft" cars these people will not respect them until they have the opportunity to drive them and see what people are raving about. My GTI and previous cars have really suprised my bogan mates when they actually have a chance to drive them and alot of them have added them to the list of their next cars.

Not long back i never even considered buying the Golf or VW for that fact, i was a suby nut and hell bent on buying another Liberty to escape the attention my rex got. After hearing dad rave about the R32 and R36 I went and drove a GTI and all the hype made sense, everything just works, it is so sorted and its a fun car and the image the car has doesnt really phase me as it ticks more boxes that most cars on the road.

Long and the short of it, is who cares what bogans think of our "soft" cars at the end of the day, we enjoy these cars and know what these people are missing out on.

                            • I suppose he might be right, but its better than a hairdressers car!

id still prefer a mk4 over a caddy anyday!!!!

                              hahhahahahhahahahhahahhaaa
its a joke..... no need for any panties to get knotted......

but seriously ,the only way you could toughen up the image of the polo is to put a set of staggered rims on to excentuate the rear.

polo has never been my fav vw......too small for me,yet again the lupo is a seriously tough looking mini.....so its obviously its style right???????or market placement in australia?????

                              • Under the radar is good

I like the cars style not over done or silly not to many know how they handle and go that,s how i like it .I got the car in 2006 because i liked the sleeper part and not to many of them around .Small easy to park safe not use mutch fuel goes faster, steers and brakes better than most.I liked the golf but for what i need the $12000 + was not for me .I will leave the sick bro style to the p plate hot up hyundai drivers .The polo has all the style i need.
