RVC into 6C gti?

3 months ago I had no plans to upgrade my tsi when the lease is up in October so I retro fitted the golf camera. But that was before I spent 4 days driving the manual gti. With a decent trade I could be driving a gti for about 2/3 what I am paying now.

Has anyone fitted the camera to the 6C or pulled the headunit to see if it has the socket for camera?

My 81tsi Comfortline 6C has a rear camera factory fitted with the Driving Comfort Pack. Only the 81tsi and GTI model can be optioned with the camera.

Do these 6c have the new generation head units?

Not sure but mine has integrated Bluetooth whereas the previous version had a physical bolt on unit.

I wasnt aware that the camera was available as an option. I guess it stays where it is then.

Why not pop the unit out and have a look at the rear to see if it has a camera outlet plug like the older RCD/RNS510 units.....

If the cameras are now an option then surely it must have it. I only had the 6C on a weekend loan so I can't check. It's not good value for money but if I choose to trade up I'll go the driver assist package and take the satnav too. I have gps phone and a garmin gps but having it in the dash is much more convenient even if it doesn't have live traffic updates.

Just thinking it might be a different plug thats all from the standard 26 pin.
