You order your MY16 with any options?

Mine is just a straight up manual and arrives on the docks in Melbourne on 26th July but was told with the Driver Assist Option it would be a 3 month wait and with the Luxury Pack a 6 month wait... yikes!

Yep. She's a manual with DA Package in metallic blue. Luckily, got an MY16 and price for DA has been dropped.

I'm actually annoyed. Clearly vw knew this change in spec was coming many months ago, yet no mention until the day after I bought my my15. Might be inspired to write a letter of complaint.

This is the exact spec I've ordered, sitting as a demo with Gerald Slaven VW. Pity it's a DSG, I would've bought it.

Thanks mate. I'm pretty pleased with how I did considering it's actually my first time negotiating a car purchase. It was a combination of luck and phoning a few different dealers around Sydney until I couldn't get any lower on price. October can't come soon enough.
