Yep i need four doors and an auto or DSG. Wish the Opel Corsa OPC was 4 doors and DSG, but then again, thats what makes the car that bit more special.

The Polo GTI is VW's answer to the Falcon. Great when it works. I had a 1994 model, then a 2004 model. Torquey limo cruiser. Like a travelling comfy lounge chair (handled like one too) and at that point in my life they suited my needs perfectly. That is when the brakes worked, electrical components worked and plastic bits werent broken. XT 4 speed was replaced in 2008 im pretty sure.
Spent a few hundred kays in a 90tsi MkVII and an Up! last weekend. Polo is still best of breed IMO. CD player in glovebox of the golf = stupid + not a fan of bluemotion auto start/stop. Up is probably great value for the money but cant get past the 3 cylinder engine is HORRENDOUSLY out of balance and the massive flywheel they must be using to try and dull the vibration just makes thing reluctant to rev on the way up and stop revving on the way down. Staying with my polo until I find a briefcase containing scirocco money.

Yeah its pretty dumb. They put all the anti crash three letter acronym things in it possible and then put the cd player in the glove box... the eject button is even on the left hand side of the CD player. I guess most of the target audience will be more hi tech than me.

Quite a few new cars are appearing without a CD player. They are redundant with aux in or bluetooth streaming. Not to mention Pandora etc available in Holdens for internet music streaming. That's why I think DAB+ is a dead duck in Australia.Last edited by pologti18t; 30-05-2013, 10:32 PM.

If Mazda made a Mazda 2 MPS, I would trade my Polo GTI in, in a heartbeat. It was a great handling little car, and uber-reliable...
In fact, when the time comes, maybe I will splurge on a level up for reliability sake - Golf GTI vs Mazda3 MPS vs Subaru WRX...Last edited by RoknRob; 31-05-2013, 12:07 AM.2011 Polo GTI | Black | 5 doors | Comfort pack | Audio pack | 9w7 Bluetooth | Xenons - a Return to VW!
