You'd be better off replacing the rear muffler with a hotdog and have the front resi deleted. Would probably be a bit too loud though

have you looked at a proper aftermarket exhaust? I think from memory that Jetex does one for the 1.2TSI and the GTI milltek system that is Cat back *MIGHT* bolt up with some modification but there is no guarantee of that....

have only looked at ABT exhaust/Diffuser kit but that's close to $3k!

OK, the 6 cars above have been booked into Castle Hill Exhaust for centre muffler removal.

Time: Saturday, 3rd November 8:00am.
Address: Unit 68, 4 Hoyle Ave, Castle Hill, 2154
Cost: $80 each (basic job only - discuss with installer on the day for any fancy flanges etc)

They have allowed 40mins per car. Please show up at 8am. They close at midday. So you'll be home to your wives/girlfriends by lunchtime.

I have already paid a $200 deposit for the booking since their hoist will be not available for other jobs.
So please, if you have to drop out, find someone to take your spot.


Any other polo owners wanting to join us on the day and chew the fat in the car park is welcome. I will have a VCDS cable/laptop on hand.

To be honest the bracket and the tailgate stuff is the easy it tho it looks complicated. Its the trim that is annoying and hard work, and anyone can do that with a $5 trim removal kit off ebay.

Back from holidays... Man what a weekend.

Ok so the 3rd well unless its taken up I'm keen to just meet up. I've got a 30th to attend too so I really can't book myself in with you's considering i might be the last plus I'm just keen to hear it really. I live 5 mins from castle hill so I'm happy to book in anytime to get it done.

Well, after a week of having this done, I must say I'm feeling a little disheartened by the results. My car is very laggy and non-responsive especially in the lower gears. After my 3 week holiday I'm getting a tune and changing the plugs to see how things shape up...if the situation does not improve the resonator is going back on.

That's not too good to hear, ATYPIC. It'd be great to get more feedback from others that have done the mod.
