    6R Polo GTI Middle Muffler Delete

    With reference to the following post, does anyone know the procedure required to complete this modification?

    Do I just tell the mechanic to remove the middle muffler on the car?

    Also, anyone know of any good places to get this done in Sydney?

      Ended up getting this done at FastFit Mufflers Leichhardt.

      Highly recommended. The staff there are older and a lot more experienced. No error codes etc were thrown on the car. Went in early in the morning and the car was ready in 20 min.

      The "fart" noise is now evident when changing gears and no real drone is present when idling. A must-have mod for Polo GTI's!

        How much did you pay for them to do this? Would be keen as an interim measure before I go turbo back

              Mines done, took him 30minutes and cost me $100 even. Love the light burble at idle and the dsg "fart" on up shift. The GTI should have sounded like this from factory.

                    Mate im sure any decent muffler shop will sort it out for you.

                    For anyone in Sydney, I used Botany Mufflers.

                              Imo you'd be very unlucky, its not really loud at all. Just a change in tone/note more then anything with a little more volume. I heard a Golf R today and it had that sort of sound to it.
