Whats with the removable bluetooth screen thingie?

I'm epicly confused.

I brought the Bury iPhone 4S cradle which.. worked fine.

Yet the Bury Active Universal cradle, my Polo's MFD always says "Insert Breastplate into Cradle".

Is this a VCDS coding issue?

The iPhone cradle is seen as a valid cradle whereas the universal cradle is not. A quick vcds recoding fixes it.

Does anyone know if its possible to have one of the buttons on the steering wheel active the iPhone home button, to initiate Siri?

Not possible at the moment, it's only been introduced on the latest cars such as the Merc A-class. It may be possible in the future with newer Bluetooth modules though, but you'll have to buy it and replace the one in the car.

My new iPhone 5 arrived today, so am selling my GENUINE VOLKSWAGEN iPhone 4/4S Handy Adapter. This is the genuine article, no need for VCDS coding, immediately snaps in and charges your phone and pairs over Bluetooth. Looks great and works well with driving directions in Google Maps or Apple Maps if you so wish.

These guys reckon stock is coming in "Late Dec/Early Jan" But they had originally said early Dec. Given Bury's not updated there compatibility yet, I'm not hopeful. Hopefully the cradle looks like the mock-up they have.

Got a MY13 Polo 77TSI Comfortline with the standard RCD310 system. While I can connect directly with VW PHONE instead of the touch adapter, no music comes out? Bluetooth audio only works when connected to the touch adapter.

Any clues? Trying to set this up so I can use the bury universal adapter.

No MFD btw.

I think this is a feature of the BT Audio implemented in the VWs. You have to start the music playing from the phone before it will go through to the head unit. Kinda defeats the purpose of BT audio in my opinion and mean that you have to keep pressing buttons on the phone to listen to music, which is illegal now...

I've just gone out and bought an SD card and put my music on there and am using it in the head unit (RCD-510 here, so it may be different functionality).
