Hailstones the size of tennis balls !! and unfortunately this is the result
Cant get through to the insurance company yet, anyone know whether this will be written off, i think more than likely.
A very sad Christmas Day....
If it were me, I would aim for a replacement car with the same spec - drive this one until the new one comes.
OR,
If the Insurance won't write it off, ask them to pay out the repair value, keep the car and drive it as is.
I would not like to have it repaired as it will take time to repair and depending on the repair, may not be to the same standard as original.
Just my view.

I remember when my Astra got t-boned. $7.5k damage....fell just below the 80% value of the car to make it a write off. If only the other driver hit the car just a liiiittle bit harder2011 Polo 77TSI Manual Comfortline | Flash Red | Sportspack | Panoramic Sunroof | Front Tints | Euro plates

Update:
Written off - repairable - but:
1) roof / side tops required conventional repairs
2) New boot / Bonnet / Roof
3) Whole car would need to be repainted
4) seats / floor to be replaced due to being soaked
5) Side airbag was soaked from the broken rear window - would have to be replaced
Soooo, I can still drive it for 48 hours (it has a salvage sticker on it) - they will call me to tow it in 48 hours.
Car shopping time.
