Volkswagen Polo Model Year (MY12) 2012 Changes

Bluetooth, Media Device and daytime running lights are now standard across all Polo models for MY12.

Will the DRL's be the Golf R style ones or headlight DRLs? Pretty awesome if they include BT and MDI if you ask me. A lot of manufacturers include this functionality as standard in their entry-level models.

That's the tough decision that we'll probably have to make. Just gotta weigh up the pros and cons.

The car is due sometime in Dec (possibly Jan) anyway. So waiting for another 2 months or so might not be so bad especially given the extra features. My missus definitely do not need the car immediately. Just not sure how trouble we would have to go through to change the order. I'm sure the dealer wouldn't be too thrilled about it.

if you cancelled your order to get a MY12.5 spec car, you will be going to the back of the queue my friend because your car, if due in December/January, would already have a production slot lined up. If due in December, hell, it would already be going down the production line.

The other point is that the dealer is under no obligation to match your original deal.

Standard RCD510 and Comfortpack on the GTI (and the timing) would be to counter the cheaper Skoda Fabia VRS that should arrive the same time as the MY12 "update" Polo.

Suggests we will get a similar spec vRS as NZ. Climate control and 2DIN radio as standard (equivalent to the rcd310). The Fabia does have a nice set of colours to choose from (plain as anything styling-wise)

Sounds to me more like an equipment reshuffle. Great for stocking Polo GTIs. 2 LESS options to cater for!
What's left, pleather, sunroof and xenons? I reckon pleather will dissappear soon enough.

It is NOT a MY12.5! it is a revision of the MY12 spec. Sorry I should have titled my post as Revised MY12 Polo specs.

I should clarify this as I can not respost the documents I have seen. The DLR will be the standard Polo variety and NOT LED or HID type.

Also the bluetooth will be the Volkswagen Touch system. For those that dont know it is a seperate unit that will have to be placed somewhere on the dash or surrounding areas. It can be operated from the steering wheel controls if you have a comfortline or higher. Looks almost like a small GPS unit.

That's a bit strange considering most of standard bluetooth are all integrated together with the RCD310/510/RNS510.

I think it'll be a different unit too, something like the 9W7/9WZ bluetooth unit. It'd take way too long to put that touch screen unit in on the assembly line, and I dont think dealers would be up for having to fit it to every polo.

I hate to say it but, the unit is the horrible seperate item I linked in the picture from my previous post. They will be shipped seperately to the car and the dealer will have to fit them. For those with steering wheel controls you will be able control it from there. For those with trendlines you have to touch the screen.
