Volkswagen Polo Model Year (MY12) 2012 Changes

Savanna Yellow exterior paint colour has been discontinued
Comfortline models now feature a gloss black radiator grille (previously matte black)
The optional automatic air conditioning display changes from blue to white/negative
The optional Bi-Xenon headlights (GTI) are supplied with a LED number plate light
The RCD310 audio system display changes from blue to white/negative

There is a revision to the MY12 models now. This is not a MY12.5 spec, just a revision.

Bluetooth, Media Device and daytime running lights are now standard across all Polo models for MY12.

Polo GTI now standard with RCD510 and comfort package for vehicles built from November 2011 onwards

Polo Trendline is now a 5 door!

Its already implemented. Solitaire in SA said my one of build week 37 is the first one they've seen so far with my12 on the NADCON. So possibly anything after week 37 (or around that week) will all be my12? Not sure...

Volkswagen Group Australia are boring! Whilst it seems the majority of Australians are also boring with their colour selection (just look at the number of white and silver sales), I don't understand why Volkswagen Group Australia want to exclude all the non-boring people from buying their cars! Sure... Savanna Yellow might not be their number 1 seller, but it takes an interesting person to buy it, and if I were the head of VGA, I'd be encouraging "interesting customers"

So I don't believe it is VGA fault.

SA production I believe is week 29 or 30 for MY2012. As I have 2012 sched week 30.

To be honest I think the blue display looks good on the climate control. I'm sure you could get the replacement part though once it's out if it bothers you that much?

It would look great in my Golf which has the blue/red lighting throughout but I guess it's just me coming from a product designer's perspective that it looks dopey and out of place when no other lighting in the interior of the car is back-lit with blue lighting. Every time I see a photo of it, it make me cringe and every day I know it will sh*t me in my car. It's just poor attention to detail but hey, most people are fine with it, just not me Just because you have an excess of spare generic climate control facias floating around for all the other blue-lit VW models out there doesn't mean you need to just whack it in the latest offering. It's like putting a pair of steelies on the front wheels of an AMG SLS, just because they had some left over.....
