i just called my dealer for an update on the car. after checking the system he advised that the car is getting built next thursday and should have the vin number the following day. once i get it i'll be going on a track and trace frenzy.

that's pretty hectic to memorise all those digits. hopefully i could do the same.

Car finally landed on Wednesday, now for last 2-3 week wait will be a killer.

I too had memorised my VIN after entering into marinetraffic.com everyday for just under 2 months its really not that hard to remember after a couple of times.

Mine finally appeared on Trace and Trace, on-board Bess, which arrives on the 20th next month in Port Kembla. Better late than never.........Let the tracking begin. VIN already memorised

Just got a call from my VW dealer, telling me that my new Polo is getting built next week - I was extreamly excited until they said that it should arrive in Australia in September not December as i was previously told.

I am sooooooo excited!!!! can't wait to get the VIN and track it

called my dealer again and was advised that car is currently scheduled on a build week 32.

What the heck? You mean to say shipping times from leaving the factory floor have dropped from 3 months to 1 month!?!?! Where the heck is my car! It was built in the week starting June 23rd!!

Yours has to come all the way from Deutchsland, whereas ours are from South Africa. I think mine only took just over 2 weeks to arrive in Melbourne after departing Durban.

I thought they were German built because the ships come from Germany. No wonder it takes so ruddy long.
