Look, this really is just a repeat of what others of us enduring the wait had to deal with, but if you ordered a car in March, I highly doubt you will even see it this year. Why? Because people who ordered cars in December 2010 have been quoted September/October 2011 delivery.

Dream on Will never happen. The Polo GTi is just THE MOST WANTED small/hot hatch in the world atm. Demand is much higher than what VW can supply, even with their billion $ factory upgrades.

So i called my dealer today with the tiniest amount of hope that i might be able to pick the car up this Saturday the 9th as it was discharged on the 1st.
But dealer said it has only had 1 out of many things done on the Patrick Auto Care tracking page, and once complied and everything it will be at the dealer within 48hrs.
I wish i could log onto the Patrick site and track it myself.
Oh well, hopefully the car comes next week

The muppet I spoke to was more realistic of the GTI delivery times but generally the people at the Motor Shows are just 'pretty' faces.....nothing more!

My Polo GTi got unloaded from the AIDA yesterday at Port Kembla (order Dec)

Should have it in the next 2-3 weeks

I then saw some poor sod getting all excited on the phone to his wife how he's going to order the Polo GTI. I'm sure his excitement then turned to massive disappointment!!!
