What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)
I'm giving it plenty of throttle but keeping it under 5500 rpms.
Plenty of throttle it is... I took mine to 6000 and more of the same thereafter once everything was warmed up right out of the stealership post-engine rebuild from the consumption
Then magic expansion tank button time for a roadtrip over Easter weekend got me 55L on the tank and then almost a 1000km range
Plus the k's I did before I went on the trip + this weekend's I've done close to about 1300km - so I'm hoping when I check the oil level tonight it shouldn't have moved much.
Yeah, the engines magically bed-in the minute you drive out the stealership - which I quoted the service advisor as saying, "not at all, she's all yours and there's no any running in"

Yeah, Most people say there is no need to 'run in' VWs, but I think its best to respect the engine for the first 500km and let the pistons and drivetrain set in. You can still push the car a bit, but not trash it to the red line as soon as you take it out of the dealership.
Slowly getting the wee girl ready for v-dubs in the square on Sunday... She's half clean and wheels having tyres fitted tomorrow... Wheels going on tomorrow night/Sunday morning...

Haha can't wait to see ya there mate! I just finished detailing my interior and engine bay. Tomorrow a massive wash + clay bar and then its time to head up (hopefully without bugs attached )
I think it's about 15-20mm. 205/40 tyres (tread) are still inside the guards though.
Can't wait to see yours... Been waiting so long...
You've certainly got it sitting nicely
I'm not sure my long wait will be worth it...just got a gut feeling the specs have been misinterpreted by the sales guy and they won't look how I wanted them to
