Not trying to sound like a troll but you will be much better off removing the dump valve and leaving the factory diverter valve there doing its thing. The forge dump valves can be quite detrimental to the operation of the engine. Guy Harding can elaborate further as he and his team have tested them and they recommend to only ever use the electronic factory diverter valves. The forge ones just cannot keep up with how quickly they need to respond in dsg cars and you will potentially end up just leaking boost. Sounds all fast & furious but may just end up slow & expensive...sigpic

^hey man post a video up! I want to hear what it sounds like.

Also Gavin just to let you know the 1.2tsi does not have a DV. Only a electronic wastegate on the turbo side which means that the abrupt closure of the butterfly valve will stall the turbo impeller.

I still have the forge BOV on my list to get only becuase it "could" reduce turbo lag and increase throttle response.

I'm aware of BOV causing problems with air metering and MAF's (causes engines to run rich due to the lost metered air) but considering this engine uses a MAP sensor setup which measures air pressure and temp to detirmine the air volume, I don't think it would effect it but I would love some more discussion about this.

Also it's so rice! I would get it only for the performance aspect - if any. Don't get me wrong one part of me loves the sound but on a 1.2t it's not much of a car to boast about and then there is the police attention...

My apologies, yes you are right. Tapatalk doesn't display signatures so I automatically assumed GTI.Originally posted by nomadx38 View Post^hey man post a video up! I want to hear what it sounds like.

Link for BOV in case anyone is wondering. Easy to install. Took about 10 minutes in the car park out the front of work.

 Forge Motorsport | Alloy Fabrication

Cost around $340 inc gst AUS landed.

Took 4 working days to arrived.

As for the headlights, I'll give it crack. People say left hand drive this, right hand drive that.
I'm happy to take a chance. Should be here earlier next week so pictures and how-to guide if I can.

 Cheers
