What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)
If you get genuine ones they don't need a decoder as they call it (its just a resister in the wire)
Hahha yeah not genuine, plus ive heard rumours errors still come up with genuine ones, plus im a uni student and dont have enough dosh for genuine ones
MY11 Polo Trendline, Candy white RCD510, R badge, AP X coilovers, 17" Ariettas in gloss black, Rear muffler delete, GTI pedal covers, gloss back emblems

There the Same price you paid from bold sport if you hunt around. Every one I know with a polo/ golf has put them in and not one has had a error.
MY16 Candy white Octavia VRS Wagon, sunroof, 19" black pack, tech pack, comfort pack, auto tail gate MY12.5 Polo 6R GTI
It's true. OEM led licence plate lights don't throw up an error as they are on a PCB which has all the resistors and what not. I picked a pair for about 43$ delivered from Tuning Fanatics on eBay.
Having said that I had some Philips LEDs in there and they worked fine as well without error, the only reason I changed is because LEDs are very directional and the way the holder sits, it didn't shine much light down.
I don't think error checking is enabled for the licence plate lights.
I know what you mean about directional. I have all Phillips through my interior but there t10 dosnt shine sideways for the boot. I got a 6 led of eBay that faces out but it's no brighter then stock. Really do need a better boot light. Might cut a bigger hole and put a number plate light in.

anyone point me at how to change the license plate lights? I also ordered two from BOld sport.
sigpic Mods: 18x7.5 Tenzo Tracer, EZ Lip, Piano black front/rear emblems, Metallic foot rest, Gloss black vinyl wrapped roof, Weitec Hicon GT coilovers, HP CAI
Really easy! If you look at the light its a black rectangle. At the end of the right side there is a black clip - pull it towards the left (a finger nail is good) and then pull down.
Once you have got it out just undo the clip on the wiring loom to release it and replace it with the new ones
Took out the front arch liners and lowered it to within .5 of an inch of its life (need 205/40/18 tyres for max lows). Planing to take out the rear perches and liners but waiting till I have more time and the proper required bolts. For now I'll just have #datrake.
Also, will this cause trouble with servicing? I know suspension warranty was gone when the coils went in but will removing the plastics void anything or only if they can prove it resulted in damage/ issues?

If they don't claim the ride height, then as a licensed vehicle repairer then by law, they can report the vehicle for being unroadworthy and/or refuse to repair the car. Recent reg change requires vehicles to have lined wheel arches. Yes, if you get damage associated with no arch liners then don't bother with warranty. Also, it's not just specifically suspension that is effects by lowering this platform too far, if they wanted to be real nasty, if you have any drivetrain issues then they could theoretically claim that too, ala DSG issues. Long bow to draw but if you're requesting max torque at a high speed and due to the now very limited wheel travel you have, there is the potential for the cv joints to bind up if you hit a big bump and potentially cause damage to the differential. Not likely but not impossible.
Enabled the indirect TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) for my car via VCDS.
Apparently it could only be done on Mk6> Golf ABS modules but it appears the polo can do it (despite a completely different module)
Hopefully it works, guess time will tell. Might be good news for polo drivers which don't have a GTI/ or the sports pack.
Only looked into this becuase I recently got a puncture and from what i can tell i was driving around on a flat tyre in the rear without noticing.
Even though I know how a car usually handles with a flat (a flat tyre will cause alot of drag) i think because its a low profile tyre (and extra load/reinforced) it keep its shape for the most part and it didn't drag that much - either way I rather not take the chance of running on a flat again so I looked this up...
So Today, I had a few things to do. First thing was do my tail lights and wrap them to dark black and might do my exhaust . so... I was on my way to the wrap factory and something hit me. I'm like I think an exhaust is overall a better choice, So I did some research and called a few places my intention was remove the resonator and put a smaller one back on. then I found a good price went there and then me and the guy had a chat and then I did a rear sports muffler change aswell. so all in all new exhaust system in my lil polo and its sounds better then ever I phart now lol
