What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)

Well, it's been a long time coming but I finally have something to post in this thread.

I, wait for it.…… FINALLY picked up my car and drove it using all 7 forward gears and reverse gear!!!!!!!

Oooooh I forgot how good it was to drive with those seats, the torque, the beautiful air conditioning.....

Then giggled as I noticed all the shell servos I went past did not have any diesel for sale

Yep all still intact and working a treat Looks like the clutch selector lever for k1 was pushed too far and jammed the clutch on.

I have to give a proper write up at some point once the novelty starts wearing off

I gave the Olop a new years present and washed it today, also I lubed all the seals cos she was creaking like hell. Still haven't got to the interior yet but I'll get there. It's running the spare tyre atm because the last remaining Conti on the car decided to leak. Oh well, I got some good photos though...

Ouch! What happened on the rear right quarter mate?

My sister backed it into the Renault. Apparently with all three mirrors it was invisible

It was bloody painful seeing the damage. Surprisingly the Renault only got a small scratch on its rear bumper, but the Polo is by far my favourite of the two so yeah it's really annoying.

I've done more! -
Put the repaired tyre back on the car. Hooray, no more ugly spare!

I'm not sure really. I think it's just cosmetic because the bumper bar actually punched through the bumper cover (or whatever it's called) so I think that the metal bar would have blocked any possibl damage underneath, not to mention that the crash happened at around 5 km/h.
Actually, does anyone know how to pull one of these bumpers off? Dad and I were thinking that in the short term we could just punch the dent back out and live with the hole until we get the bumper replaced so it would at least look better from a distance.
