What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)

Yep, the seller is in Spain. There's another one who comes up from Poland but they are about $20 more for the same thing (exxy postage costs).

Having a look at the install threads, it's really a matter of being careful and taking your time. I used to sell car navs, so poking around with the stereo, ripping out panels, etc doesn't scare me.

The only real tool you need for the install is the Ross-Tech. This allows the unit to integrate with the MFD and audio system
I'm sure that someone locally would be willing to assist for a carton of ale and a spin in a GTI. Surely?

Some people recently seem to have had issues with mounting tabs being bent but I certainly had no issue with mine.

I don't suppose you would be able to post a couple of pics of the before and after shots of the lower control arm angle? This was a problem on the Mk4 golf that too much lowering made the car handle like a dog due to flattening out the angle of the control arm. The GTI will be 15mm lower already so I'm waying up if lowering goes on the list of mods

its not going to be heaps lower as it's already got the factory sport suspension and i didnt get the super-low springs

iPod cable arrived from the US Seller. All looks good and can't see any reason why it wouldn't work - now all I need is my Polo to give it a try.

I have that cable; works fine.
however be warned that there are issues with iPods and the RCD510 if u have that headunit.

Google it, but basically complex structured iPods are having issues with the headunit because it trys to read too much at once. You'll notice the first 1-2 secs of songs skip or just dont play and that song names\details don't change when you push next.

Or with me it froze completely altogether.

Some people have been returning the MDI cable to VW (the ones bought from VW) others got 'firmware updates' to the head unit, the list goes on.
I myself just removed as many songs as i didn't need, removed unwanted music detail like album art, artist info etc that itunes shoves into each song.

I am considering darkening the wheels on the gti when it gets here but am unsure of if I should go black or a metallic charcoal.

Black on red GTI, keep in mind mine will be white.... Thanks to UK Polos...
