I stretched 205/40/17 on a 9" wheel last weekend with ease so you should have no problems. I'll post up the pic later so you get an idea of the stretch.

205/40/18 are not a really common tyre size though so expect to pay a bit more. I'm thinking about going 215/35/18 for the next set of wheels i'm looking at. the slightly lower profile may help just as much as the reduced width?

If it's not legal over there, pass them on to me. Our laws allow for the tires to stick out 5mm, but say nothing about the rims

Yes ...with coilovers or diff shocks should be different i think.

Press the button in the top right of the glove compartment for a few secs and wait for the beep. It will recalibrate itself

It looks weird on just one angle, but trust me if you can get the back just above the rim, it'll be PERFECT!!!

I had a similar situation that I had to stretch like that, but if you tuck enough of the rear it will "hide" the exposed edge of rim. Man, sorta angry at myself for going the painted stockies instead of those CH-R!! Congrats man, looks so sexy!

Don't understand the point of stretching tyres but hey, that's just me. The wheels themselves look awesome though!

Very nice wheels. One of my fav from BBS. It really suits the car too.

Really don't like the stretched tyre look and maybe dangerous under cornering. Each to their own though.

A thinner wheel with proper rubber would look awesome.

Im trying to hold off as long as possible on a tune but its starting to get a bit too tempting haha

I'm really surprised by how different the car feels, the traction control has it's hands full in 1st and 2nd but I am still able to get plenty of the extra power down. The whole car seems taught-er, the gear shifts are smoother and maybe a little faster, engine sounds better, and the dsg copes well with the extra torque, still no torque steer. It feels like I've taken it from a car that is quick when pushed, and when your the only one in it (no extra ppl weight) to quick all the time, and when your in it on your own......

As everyone has said previously, if you want to mod then it is a must!
