So the Whiteline springs after installation

Personally i think they are awesome. The perfect amount of drop all round, the car more balanced and is not as harsh as the stock suspension, still waiting for them to settle but really happy with them

      Looks good

Is yours a 2015? How much were the springs?

      • Mine is the 2016 model with the Adaptive chasis control
Payed $350 for them from work, think they retail for about $410

        • So the lowering springs don't cause any issues with the adaptive chassis control or throw any error codes? I like that you think they aren't as harsh as stock, was thinking I wouldn't lower it in case it made it harsher.

I got the APR Stage 2 tune along with a turbo elbow, intake pipe and custom downpipe. I love the mods and the car feels proper quick and is smoother in delivery than stage 1

          • Yeh they work perfect with the ACC no error codes of any sort, i find the sports button when activated makes the whole suspension stiffer and less body roll then stock still pretty comfortable, when sport mode is off it is comfortable rides the bumps without any crashing

Its a must for you to complete the car, id love to do the tune but warranty is my concern since ive had the mechatronics unit already replaced after about 2500kms

              • Got my 2014 GTI serviced last week (60,000kms) and the mechanic discovered the bottom of the sump is covered in oil. Which means when they did warranty work last June they didn't seal it well.

                • Washed, then coated callipers and rims with Gyeon Mohs quartz coat.
                  Makes future cleaning a breeze!

With mine they dropped the inner seal on the oil filter, so basically for 15k I had pretty much no filtration.

                      • I've been reading over this thread with great interest, few questions:
The dealer quoted me 115 to supply and fit roof racks for my polo, has anyone gone with dealer ones? Are they easily removable / good product?
The OBDeleven, will this void the warranty on the car? Love some of the tweaks people have been doing with it. Anyone know if it's possible to add / change sport modes to have the stiffer steering / better sound but softer damping rate? I have a lot of bouncy roads in my area where the car is a bit rough to ride in sports mode

No way you'll void warranty using OBD11 if you follow the tutorial videos on here.
You're just coding things that you'd normally have to ask the dealer to set up for you.
There probably is a way to do the sports mode without damping change, but don't think anyone has worked it out yet?

                          • Felt like a wheels change. Gone away from the popular black wheels to something more retro, like me probably. I will be listing my previous wheels for sale shortly. Meanwhile PM me if interested.

New wheels - German Dotz 17 x 8 32ET, need to drop car a few mm as it went up with less tyre stretch.
