Does anyone know if the B8 passat is fitted with brake pad wear sensors? Mine is a 2017 206TSI wagon. Last service report indicated that brake pads/rotors may need to be replaced before next scheduled service. So far no indications on the dash.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Brake Pad Wear Sensor

Id say so, my 2010 Golf GTI, 2011 Golf R and 2015 Audi SQ5 have front wear sensors, so im sure your 2017 model Passat will do also.
Bear in mind that the wear sensor is basically a circuit and if it wears through (causing your dash light to tell you brake pads need replacing) the sensor itself will need to be replaced. If you change the pads before they wear through you can re-use the sensors. In saying that, most decent brand pads will come with new sensors.
