2010 Handbrake Error

We are getting a handbrake error. When it happened the first time we were able to clear it by turning the motor off then re starting. Doesn't want to clear now. Is this a common problem and is there anything a guy more used to 1968 aircooled tech is able to do about it? Any suggestions appreciated.

You need to get a scan for faults.
I had a problem that turned out to be the electric park brake module so I replaced it and all good.
But the scan will tell you.
Normally it's just the button which is an easy replacement.
If you need a new epb module let me know as I have a spare.

Good result that's the case in 90% of these issues as I understand it.
I have a spare newer rev switch now that I've replaced it with the b7 version if anyone needs one.
