    R34,

    I ordered a Wagon.

Unless you ordered a sedan, I can not see our delivery times varying that much.

Dealers seem to always give a best case scenario on delivery dates.

My most recent dealer update (early March) is delivery in August 2010.

Another factor could be what Australian City you are in. But I suppose the variation on this shouldn't be more than 1 month.

    I am in Melbourne.

I'm in Perth and yes I ordered a Sedan
Dermot sent me a Tracking order which gave the dates everything happens from painting, assembly, shipment and arrival at the dealership
Why would ordering a sedan change the delivery time?

Apparently the production dates/schedules in Germany are different for sedans and wagons.

Are you able to track your own 'tracking order' via a website? If so what is the website?

I think we will be very fortunate if we receive our cars before September.
          Hi Szikou,

I think you maybe correct...just received an email that my car has now moved back to ''sometime'' in June! This is getting ridiculous too say the least.

Had some movement on the loan car front, the dealer is now going to do the right thing and supply a loan vehicle, suggested the R36 Wagon they had on their used car lot...he didn't seem too keen on that,we'll see in the next few days I guess.

Once again, the reason for the delay is continued shortage of V6 engines

I have a CC on order and my business partner has a R36 Wagon on order. Same deal. We ordered in December to get Krudd's $7500 kick back and expected delivery in June. Got a call last week to say they will be later but could not tell me a time. If it blows out too far I will cancel my order and go for a Audi Q5.

I ordered a wagon on the 27th Feb and was given the date for delivery being late july. It then pushed back to the end of August and as I was overseas at the time I emailed the salesman to cancel the order.

There was then a deafening silence. So I gave it a week and emailed the Assistant Sales Manager and also the Sales Manager. After 3 days they didn't respond either, so I emailed the business manager. Still nothing.

It was obviously too difficult to deal with so they just chose to ignore it. So I got on to the dealer principal who offered me 2 yrs free servicing as a make good. Sorry.......too little too late. I canceled and called another dealer who had one in stock and could deliver within the week at a super sharp price too.

I sacrificed ACC but it was either that or I'm left driving the wife's Astra til the end of August which just ain't gonna happen.

The DP did say the tax rebate which ended last year has has really cleaned them out, and this is a familiar story at dealerships across the country.

Seems as though the dealers need to get their facts straight for delays...i keep getting told it's because of a lack of V6 engines and others are being told it's because of KRudds tax incentive cleaning out stock!

At least my dealer has finally agreed to supply a loan car until my car arrives after badgering the crap out of him...suggested he should give me the Biscay Blue R36 wagon in their used car lot seeing as that's what I have on order...we'll see on Tuesday I guess!

I think its both - a shortage of the V6 engines across the board and a cleanout of stock late last year from the K-Rudd tax break. There are a few R36 wagons coming through into dealer stock now from Nov/Dec 09 build. Chatswood Classic have a few I know of. I decided not to wait for my Biscay Blue wagon to (maybe) arrive in July/August and have taken one of the stock vehicles that recently became available. It's Icelandic Grey instead of Biscay Blue and had a few extra features (Reverse camera, auto-tailgate) that I didn't overly need. Although I prefer the blue, IG seems nice.

Did you get your wagon from Chatswood Classic? I know they have a Biscay Blue wagon as I saw it when I drove past the other day. I'm hearing you about the IG as a colour, BB is the pick of R36 colours, although,I'm surprised the Tornado Red isn't an option here as it is in the Uk.

No, from Nepean Motor Group. They have 2 IG Wagons there, although one of them is a demonstrator. The one I picked up is an Oct-09 build so missed out by one month on the new A/C layout (like in the CC) - but no biggie. Ended up getting the two extra features (camera/tailgate) for no extra cost over the original order, so happy with that! Hopefully the IG will grow on me.

The BB Wagon at Chatswood has SatNav, sunroof and tailgate. I would have gone for that if I could have. They have another one there with SatNav and ACC I think.

LOL...nah got a very tidy deal

Went out to the dealership today and was handed the keys to a demo Skoda Octavia TSI...will probably have to swap it over a couple of times till my R36 arrives, however,am now a reasonably happy camper as I'm no longer driving my son's 93 Charade!
The attitude shown by the dealership was a vast improvement on prior dealings...was also shown that build should start in 2 weeks on my car for a Jul10 delivery.
