Any one ordered an R36 had their car delayed?

LOL...nah got a very tidy deal

Went out to the dealership today and was handed the keys to a demo Skoda Octavia TSI...will probably have to swap it over a couple of times till my R36 arrives,however,am now a reasonably happy camper as I'm no longer driving my son's 93 Charade!
The attitude shown by the dealership was a vast improvement on prior dealings...was also shown that build should start in 2 weeks on my car for a Jul10 delivery.

Congrats Dr Block, at least you now have a car to use! I imagine the dealer will be really eager to ensure as quick delivery as possible of your R36 now!

BTW, I can only imagine the joy of upgrading from a 93 Charade (though watch the fuel use grow!). I imagine your son will have a bit of ammunition now in attempting to persuade you to upgrade his car now too lol!

The dealer did mention that i'll probably have to swap vehicles a couple of times till mine get's delivered...no big deal involved there for me,just nice too see that they finally provided some positive customer service.

My son has indeed made mention that he should upgrade his car now as well...you must have a teenage son as well,i'm thinking....lol

Received an update from my Dealer today regarding R36 Wagon.

Best case scenario is May/June production for Aug/September delivery.

And that is not 100% Confirmed from VWA.

Reasoning is V6 Engine Production

When i picked up the loan car a couple of weeks ago, they were anticipating that my car should start production this week on 23Apr10. Will check with both the broker and the dealer next week to get a sitrep.

Mine informed me that the VIN would be available once production had started, which is due too start tomorrow.

I find it odd that R34 has a VIN, you are about to get yours and my one can't be confirmed.

The only logical explanation I can think of this that mine is a wagon.

Just found out my delivery date has been pushed back again till Jul/Aug...at this rate my car will be a 2011 build!

I'm waiting on a wagon as well, not a sedan. I must say that I'm rather amazed that there's been ZERO communication from VWA regarding this continual delay to buyers of vehicles that are continually being postponed.In my case, this is now the 4th change of production/delivery date and from what I gather on here I'm certainly not the only one in this situation.

As I said insist your dealers give you a copy of the Tracking Report

Guys, we are 1 week away from May.

I sincerely doubt we will see our cars before September.

If any of you guys or anyone else in this position receives any update, please reply on this thread. I will do the same.
