    • Car got dirty the other day again (occupational hazard), so I decided to get out the high pressure cleaner.

Unfortunately not all the plasti-dip survived

I learned that with the front grill haha.
Now you have to remove it and do it all again

It has lasted quite well with regular washing all things considered. It just didn't like the high pressure jet in places.

I have "touched" it up before by rubbing back the damaged section with eucalyptus oil and then re spraying. The eucalyptus oil dissolves the plastidip so you can get a nice transition instead of a sharp edge.

Lucky I still have half a can of plastidip left over [emoji4]

            • if you have to go to the lenghts of masking it all up to plasti-dip it.... now you like the look.... have you thought of just spraying it with paint this time?

There's only 3 problems that I can see:

                    1) If it has the same rear legroom as standard Golf it won't work. I am 193cm and I've already tested out a Golf R hatch and it has minimal legroom in the rear seats for growing kids

                    2) Wife hates wagons with a passion. She said if I brought home a wagon it would be grounds for a divorce!!!

                    3) Price tag is likely to be a few grand more than the Golf R hatch (if Golf wagon pricing is anything to go by). If I had that kind of money to throw at a car I'd buy the Audi S3.

On another note I've commenced a new home renovation project (totally unrelated to cars), so won't be spending much time online for the next couple of months.

They are not so big problems tigger,

                      1) This is a Wagon and I am sure seats would be movable/ adjustable like Tiguans and you have very big boot for anything.

                      2) I thought you were seriously considering a VRS so .....

                      3) This is much better than a S3 for your needs, space , performance, practicality etc .. only 0.1 sec slower but I know you will fix that

If price going to be a problem may be look at demo/ slightly use vehicles.

Driving along and thought this would be a great spot for a shot so I did a U turn. Really just an opportunistic photo based on storm clouds and a nice backdrop.

I just wish I had a better camera to do the location/shot justice.... though that would have also shown up how dirty the car was too

                              It's a slippery slope.
Then you get a tripod, and a circular polarising filter
Then you get lightroom/photoshop to accent the parts that needed more pop.
Then you work out you spent $5k to get a pictre of your car haha.

This one works well enough i think.
