Nope twin exit is what you're looking at which is 2 separate tail pipes on the rear left side.

What you're talking about is a quad exit - 2 set of twins so 2 exits on both left and right sides.

This is a little tricker as it means that you need a new rear diffuser. There's a cut-out on the left side for the tail pipes, but nothing on the right.... which means you either need to cut the plastic (which would look crappy) or create a new moulding with both left and right exit.

I believe this may be happening but still waiting to hear if this is going to become a reality (fingers crossed).

Will be interested to hear the twin pipe catback and know the pricing.
Also if it is able to attatch to the APR downpipe.

Yes HPX manufacture all the HSV, FPV and Walkinshaw (+a few others) exhaust systems so they know a thing or two about turning out a good product.

Looking forward to when the first Tig exhausts come off the production line.

Hopefully they will have a bit of barrrp and a burble.

So after a mix of city and country driving I am so glad that I've installed a flappy paddle steering wheel before getting the tune. Running with flappy paddles in manual mode makes the car so much more driveable.

Since putting the DP and tune on, it actually highlights the issues with both D and S mode.

D mode is OK if you just want to putter around - good for the wife or if you've got other people in the car. You seldom get much into the power band so it pretty much drives the same as "stock". So it really doesn't take advantage of the tune except of you really plant the foot but then you don't really want to do that too much driving around the city.

S mode is good on country roads - leave in S and it will "cruise" at 80km/hr in 7th. Put the foot down and it will drop back to 3rd and get to 110 in quick time. The only down side is that I'm going to have to invest in an anti lift kit or something to stop the front end from lifting every time

I have found in S mode that from standing start it does hang in gear a little too long and you're better off upshifting 500rpm sooner.

So until I get a DSG tune that's why I use manual mode and the flappy paddles when driving most of the time - makes the whole experience really enjoyable.

Thanks for the update! Must say that the 'Pro Kit' springs i recently had installed sorted that situation beyond my expectations!

Yes I'm looking at some suspension mods to improve the handling. Would also consider lowering the car a little and the Eibach springs seem to be the way to go - a little lower but not too much.

Also front and rear sway bars and if that doesn't fix everything then an ALK.

Mirror Dipping in Tiguan - Confirmed

Just a quick note to confirm that AutoPolar FIS+ Advanced unit I installed on the weekend does in fact support dipping the passenger side mirror when selecting revese gear.

Had a quick play around in the car at lunch and got it working.
I'll have to post a video/instructions of it later, but you can set the mirror to tilt down when revese gear is selected.

                      Installation of FIS+

For any Tig owners thinking of adding this to your car (I'm aware of a couple of guys with units but not yet installed), here's the link to the installation thread here: FIS+ Installation in 2011 Tiguan 125TSI

It took me about 4 hours hunting around under the steering wheel / through the firewall to finally locate the CANBUS gateway connector behind the glovebox.

It's a relatively simple install - remove glovebox, disconnect battery, connect up FIS+, re-install glovebox. Should take half an hour or so at moderate pace.

The unit allows you to read a lot more diagnostic information - boost/fuel pressure, engine/intake/exhaust temps, remaining litres, accurate speed (unaltered), engine RPM and a heap more. 4 parameters per screen and you can configure up to 16 screens of info if you choose.

It also allows you access to a number of other features that can be enabled through VCDS like changing the number of indicator flashes, locking at 20km/hr and a few other features that I've yet to explore.

                        Hi mate,
looks like a top little gadget - have to seriously consider getting one
One question though, does it give same functionality to be able to change settings that VAGCOM does? I haven't got VAGCOM, but just want to make sure I can set up things like the mirror dipping function without it.
                        Cheers
Found this link which answered the question...

Obviously (as it's plugged into the Comfort/Convenience Module) it allows you to make some mods there, which is really all I'm after.
Will PM you re getting one.
                        Cheers

Though there's a lot of things in VCDS that aren't possible/implemented in FIS+. Things like clearing faults, scanning hardware and running logs - so VCDS still has it's place.

The FIS+ unit has ability to display a lot of the engine parameters direct into MFD which is neat. Here's the list for my Tig 125TSI:

Now that I have this new toy, just wondering whether we can compare some stats.

                                Boost PSI: -7 to -1
                                Torque Nm: up to 320

Curious what other Tigs are reading (both stock and flashed)?

But back to topic ... can't seem to get automatic mode to work at all for mirror dipping.
Also even manual mode resets itself after a while.

I assume the configuration once saved is supposed to be saved down for good?
