Hi Team-v,
I pick up my runout 125TSI tig this wednesday (metalic blue ) Just wondering now that you have had yours for a while, have you had any waranty issues with regards to the APR tune?

Haven't had any issues at all with the APR tune.
Definitely a worthwhile upgrade on the 125.
Hopefully you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
Going on 18 months and almost 14000km.
still loving it though. Just as tight now as it was when new...even after a great variety of driving.... from "grandpa cruising" to thrashing...!
It's more of a weekend car for me since work is close enough to ride/bus to.
Will be using it more for trips to the coast though so i expect the km's to jump up a bit higher.
The insurance provider thought I was joking when I said how many km I expect to do per year.
So i took the Tig to happy laps on the weekend and it performed flawlessly.
Slightly less nimble than the R's but i wasn't pushing mine as hard.
Still never dropped a spot unless i was giving it away
Definitely suprised me with how well it handled at speed.
Video can be found below.
I star from 8 the minute mark onwards.
And there goes the Blue Tig!!! Awesome vid! looks fun!!!

By the way... quick question to anyone... where do I post a potential Group Buy? Is there a special category it should go under? There's a VW Tiguan forum group in Singapore looking to get a group buy going for halogen HID with DRL's. It's a beauty (to me at least!) and they are looking for more ppl to join in. Minimum 5 sets.

Might be best to make a separate thread in the Tiguan section.
Great stuff Clay. Is that the first time you've done Lakeside? It is quite a technical track. You can shave off seconds with the right approaches (and the last exit before the main straight). Heaps of fun. I would have loved to get mine out there. Congrats on getting yours there. Should be more of it!

First time i have ever been on a track at all.
I had heard lakeside was pretty full on but at the speeds we were doing i found it enjoyable but you did have to keep your witts about you.
I enjoyed it so much i already organised another one for January :p
Going to mount the video camera on the roof racks.
Looks like a heap of fun for sure! So, what are the rules/requirements? Crash helmet? Speed limit? Does your regular insurance policy give cover for this?
The VW day at Phillip Island a couple of months ago was my 1st track experience also. Had me cornering & fanging down the straights faster than i had ever been before, but i was in NOT MY car! Reckon i had the R at 200ish...
Good Stuff!
ps, digging the new siggy photo, about time!

This was not timed or anything so speeds were apprently limited to 140km/h (this was not enforced).
No protective clothing required.
Insurance doesn't cover it but everyone was really well behaved as almost all the cars were newer than 5 years old.

Mate of mine that does track days with me took his M3 out there and watched a brand new 911 wipe out the entire left hand side, spun and collected another car! And yes, no insurance
