Quick Update:
Highway Auto expect to receive the car by the 14th and say I should get the car several days after.
Looks like the 22 May pickup i am after will go through.
whoa whoo!!
If you're half as happy as I am with the manual, you'll be laughing!

I am psyched about it.
It will give me full control over APR Stage 1.
So far i haven't heard of any real issues with the manual and after my 20yo corolla the gearbox/clutch should feel like a dream.
TIGTDI:
We might get ours on the same day.
And i know what you mean about it going to be a slow week.
Next week is going to be worse :|
No Tig as yet called dealer for update & was put onto a lovely lass who handles deliveries (the bull**** loop) who advised some time next week as I'm getting tint & revesing sensors fitted at dealership........Not happy Jan
I got an update yesterday.
Last week, the dealer said they expected the car to arrive with them on Friday (yesterday)
Contacted them yesterday but the car is still at the port. (not really their faul,t as it was an estimated time)
I hope it arrives early this week so i can pick it up before/on Friday next week.
Not getting any dealer options so that should cut the time from delivery to pick up by at least a day i would hope.
I just want my car already.
107 days waited so far, what's another 7 in reality though.
Customs is holding up the car at the port and as such it hasn't gone thorugh it's proper build checks.
Now VW don't expect the car to be delivered to them by Friday this week so I have no idea when it will get to them and then to me.
I've waited 110 days so far so wha't another 7-14 days.
See if we can crack the 4 months timeframe.
Bit of a pain but in reality customs need to do their job and VW didn't specify an exact date so I'll just wait in hope that it happens quickly.

Lastest update was told that Tig was to arrive at Dealership within 48 hrs as of Monday & they require a couple of days for tint & sensors & with a bit of luck at the end of week or early next week at the lastest.....I cant handle the insomnia, may have to get sleeping bag out & sleep in Tig first night....lol
On the plus side sold the Mk5 Golf & dealer agreed to courtesy car until new arrival is ready....

At least you have a proposed date and sold the old car.
Just think this time next week you should have your new car.
I'm still trying to get rid of my old car in preparation for the new Tig and get a proposed pick up date.
I have no options except floor mats so hopefully time from dealer delivery to pick up is pretty short.
Let us know how it goes, I will update again when I hear anything.

I got a feeling it might be Saturday....fingers crossed it will be a cruising weekend but then again I may wax her first depending on dealer prep.........
My dealer was telling me that I will be picking up my Tig later this week.
Just interested if your dealer let you select the number plate? I was told that the new online registration does not allow us to choose the number plate from a list. I was able to do that last time I bought a new car 10 years ago.

Firstly Congrats.....
I Requested if i could pick a number plate out of their allocation & was advised it may be a selection of maybe 2 or 3 as they do not like jumping the series.... I'm still waiting for the phone call though & it should be a day or two before I pick it up.....
Thanks TIGTDI. Congrats to you too. Like yourself I am waiting for the phone call. I was advised that it will be end of this week or early next week. Maybe we bought our car from same dealer!

If your purchased your car in the west, then there is a good chance we purchased from the same dealer, this is my second purchase from them & have been generally quite happy with the whole experience of purchasing & servicing etc....a bit exxy for servicing but worth in the long run with log books.
Vw advised the car is with them and i can pick it up 4pm Tuesday afternoon!
Work has approved me to take the day off so i can kick back and play Red Dead Redemption and then head out to get my new car.
That's great to hear V, how long has it taken all up from date of order?
I've checked ours this morning and it's now due into Port Kembla on the 12th June which is two days later than we were first advised, the dealer has said it's usually two weeks from then for delivery, hope he's right. Have fun with Red Dead Redemption while you wait, I picked it up last night and it will help kill some time before our Tig arrives.

All up it will be exactly 118 days give or take an hour.
Has been a long wait but definitely will be worth it.
I had heard 2 weeks from unloading to the dealer but mine was held up due to customs backlog etc.
Mine will have taken 19 days from unloading to pick up with no options.
I already wasted 5 hours of my life on RDR last night.
Awesome game and very good way to waste the time before picking up the car.
Watch out for the Cougars though, they're freaking crazy.
