Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Not post whoring but I've updated the thread on MEA forums with my custom Tiguan audio install with new pictures.

I had quite a few PM's on it so I thought it worthy to let people know it's been updated.

I've been told it should be finished by tomorrow night.

Those of you that have the aftermarket head units and like to run iGo8 as your preferred Nav program, this site is a must for you. You will find lots of interesting things here (hope it is OK to post another forum site?):

Fitted a Pioneer AVIC F900-BT sat nav last week with Blue Tooth and i-pd/multimedia adapter included http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/N...VICF900BT.aspx and fitted the matching ND-BC20PA reverse camera with parking guide lines for a fraction of the cost of the factory unit. For those looking for an alternative to the $3500 factory upagrade option and $400+ for blutoothadd on top of that the extra $$ for the multimedia adapter all for AU$1500 with the installation done by myself and a friend, its very easy if you use the Conects2 canbus loom adapter and you are handy with a soldering iron or crimping tool. I will try to post pics up soon there also plenty of similar installations on the MKVI Golf websit and on vwvortex.

Nice unit cubes. Great price too!
Does it integrate with the MFD and do the steering wheel controls work?
