I have both those mats and they definitely don't cost that much!

Unfortunately I don't have the breakdown of these anymore, as tossed out all the quotes.

Nevertheless, you'd be asking for at least one or both of these to be thrown in for free; or at the very least sold to you at cost.

Worse case, you can always buy these mats later from another dealer that's cheaper.
Do a ring around now ... if you can't wait and pick the smaller ones to call.

In terms of MDI + cable, make sure you haggle for an ipod/iphone cable, instead of the normal USB one (which can only be used with external HDD or flash/thumb drives).

Definitely music via ipod/iphone is more portable and offers quicker access & more selection options.

Also headunit does not play WAV files, but will if they're on your ipod.

    Accessories cost?

This is what my dealer has quoted on top of driveaway deal:
    Tiguan 147TSI DSG
    Candy White
    Black Leather: $4000
    MDI + cable *: $300
    Carpet mat **: $400
    Tour bar ******: $1590
    Reversable boot mat: $380

Any comments from you knowledgeable ones on these prices?
Firstly, leather should be $3700 on a 147. MDI is in brochure as $270? What about quotes on mats etc - just feelng like I am being taken advantage of!

    Cheers
    Carl.

Looking today it seems I can get a MY11 125TSI DSG, comfort pack, metallic paint, with bluetooth for 38K driveaway.
Should I expect to do any better than that ?
    Seemed pretty reasonable.....

    Good luck Prodigy

Each have their own appeal for different reasons, so hopefully the Tiguan on road discount makes an appealing discount

Delivery timeframe could be a factor depending on what Tig you want to order

What you have to work out is what your wife's dominant buying motives are and steer them towards the Tig

Easy in theory – harder in practise

We looked at the same bunch, plus my wife was leaning towards an Outlander

Worked out what her main points were and proved the Tig was better – done deal

All going well taking the Mrs to go and look at a new Tig tomorrow, she also wants to view the Rav 4, Mazda CX7 & Suby Forester but hopefully she'll see sense and we can be a 2 VW family.

Definitely NSW, check with VW, i would imagine it's Australia wide. VW making room for new Tiguan, but i think i like the look of the front of curent model better, amd cant wait 6 months, so i jumped on it.

And judging from the past it is to clear the stock (not for the factory orders), so anybody wants some extras with the new Tig I would be seeing the dealer ASAP.

A 125 with same options would have been $39k. Both MY11, Feb 11 Compliance plates.

Thats a good price mate, i'm wanting to get a Tig for the Mrs so am about to begin the rounds with the dealers. I didn't know about the free on roads, is that a VW national thing?
