    Great site and thread guys!

I'm a newbie, just traded in for a Tiggy during the sale. Was happy with the savings even though we traded the old one for peanuts.

    MY11 125TSI 7sp DSG
    Silver leaf
    Comfort
    Fog
    Beige leather
    Carpet mats
    Foam boot mat

    $42,290

    hi folks,
I'm looking at changing my car this year and am considering on purchasing the Tiguan.

At this stage im looking at the 125TSI Auto with the following options:

    METALIC PAINT $800.00
    PANAROMIC SUNROOF $2,000.00
    RNS510 SAT NAV $3,000.00
    COMFORT PACK $1,000.00

Decided not to take on leather ( not too sure whether the car will be too hot if i include the sunroof & leather). Drive away price is $47000 ( this does not include the current special since i will not be purchasing prior to March 31st).

What price should i offer?, not sure whether there is a long wait..if so i may just have to wait for the new facelift model which is supposedly available from September.

    thanks

    Tiguan Price Thread

    Hi,

I'm looking for a pricing thread/calculator for the Tiguan. Does one exist? Something like they have for the Golf, where people post their dealer offers and options, and how much we can expect to save.

Tried pushing it down to $40K flat but they wouldn't budge.

Mind you I was dealing with the same dealership a few days ago and I got the sales guy to agree to $39,500 with the park assist. He noted my CC details and then told me his finance manager will call to get confirmation and deduct my deposit.

Manager calls me and says that the price is not viable and the sales guy made a miscalculation in the quote. I was pissed and I gave them an earful and hung up.

In the end the sales guy called me back the next day apologised and gave me this deal.

I don't know how much % of a discount I got but I used your options and price as a guide to haggle for my order.
    I believe I achieved a decent deal.

    125 TSI DSG
    Deep Black Pearl Effect
    Comfort
    Fog
    Bluetooth
    MDI + iPod cable
    Carpet mats
    Roof Racks
    Premium plates
    Side steps

$40,500 drive away (only downfall is the wait till mid June)
Nice effort Yooshi! The Side Steps alone are approx $900+ from the dealer; so taking those into account vs the items you didnt go with, I'd say you got a fairly good deal.

Well done! Glad I was able to help

Well, just put a deposit on:

    125TSI with 7-speed DSG
    Blue Metallic
    Comfort Pack
Towbar (I wanted the geniune article with associated electronic assistance)
    Rear window shades thrown in

    Drive-away price $39,890

We found this weekend there was limited stock in DSG versions with comfort pack but otherwise not optioned up (we aren't interested in the other options given our usage), so there was a limited number to choose from.

Dealers were careful about dealing - they are selling well, so it was difficult to get them (while the drive-away deal is on) to move much on price. However, in my view the driveaway deal itself represents a pretty good discount.

We were offered a full street legal windown tint at $400 in lieu of throwing in the window blinds, but we figure we can get a tint cheaper if we want it later.

Have to say though, we were both mighty impressed with the Tiguan's driving and features.

I was about to say, except I got distracted by the delicious corned beef and cab sav, that I quite like the rubber mats strangely enough. Easy to clean.
