Just some friendly advice if you decide to order the MDI:

Yeah that seems very pricey.Originally posted by calendula_18 View PostGiven this quote for $48,408.55 125TSI Candy White / Leather seats
+ Comfort Package
+ MDI
+ Bluetooth
+ Reversing sensors
+ Media in Adaptor Cable - IPOD
+ Front & Rear Mudflaps
+ Weathershields
+ Rego/Admin Fee/Slim Line Plate Fee/Stamp Duty
+3rd party
Appreciate if anyone can tell me how much I should negotiate downwards? Is the Cable for IPOD really necessary? Thanks!
We paid less than that for our 147 TSI with almost the same options plus metallic paint & RVC.

Ah OK
I don't really mind, happy to compromise, just wondering about a ballpark figure.
Redbook.com.au is showing the base model diesel (manual) for around $37,000.
Is that roughly correct?

The eofys applies only what is in the country not for the new orders. You will struggle to find the car already in with all the options you've listed.

Hi guys
Thinking of getting a Tiguan Diesel (don't care if it's MY10 or MY11) 103TDI with:
-. Comfort Package
-. Bi-Xenon headlight
-. Leather upholstery
-. MDI
-. Media in Adaptor Cable (does it work with iPhone??)
-. Front and Rear mudflap
-. Reversing Sensor
-. Bluetooth
How much would I be looking at? I think that's close to around $50,000 huh.
Another thing, with the end of financial year coming, is it worth just waiting to see what the dealers are doing?

Base 125 should be 37k drive away.
Leather from memory is a 4k option = 41k
Comfort pack +1k = 42k
All other options/dealer accessories can't be more than 1.5k = 43.5k.
You should be able to on average knock them down around 10% off their first offer.
This feels like they are profit gouging though.
And yes, the ipod cable is neceesary addition to the MDI becasue APPLE is stupid and requires a different connection than any other product.
It is their problem not VW's.

Guest repliedEven better. We signed in April so they're definitely getting a call tomorrow!Originally posted by Yooshi View PostYeah it was a great deal.
Bit of a mistake on the post though, the offer was only valid till the end of April NOT May.
But if you signed the paperwork back in April, then definitely call them to match it.
The dealership isn't the one that decides on the rate, its VW Financial Services and if it was an offer they had on until the end of April, then it should apply to everyone.

Yooshi, it's probably just curiosity rather then anything for me as what they offer me won't change I'm sure. Thanks for the positive response.Originally posted by Yooshi View PostThat's alright mate not being intrusive at all.
We're all here to help one another.
Unfortunatley I wouldn't have a clue what credit rating category they gave me.
I just told them to do a application and they just informed me that I was approved straight away.
If the rating is shown on the paperwork, I can check it when I get home tonight and let you know.
Cheers

Yeah it was a great deal.Originally posted by tonecj View Post7.99% Wow! Nice deal. Definitely calling the guys to see if they'll match, sneaking suspicion they wont.
We went between Camberwell and South Yarra VW. Camberwell were genuine car sales guys, i.e. jerks, South Yarra were so much easier to deal with, really good guys. I saw Andrew.

i.e. Diamond, gold, silver , bronze.
I just made an application today for my Tig to be financed through VW and still awaiting the result and what the percentage rate will be. Just wanting to compare the percentage rate.
